Liberation through Wearing (btags grol)

These diagrams, sometimes called "chakras" or "yantras"> (Tib. 'khor lo), originate from ancient manuscripts left as a legacy by Guru Padmasambhava and other great masters to benefit future generations.

1. Liberation through wearing (btags grol gyi 'khol lo).

These chakras are meant to be placed either on the crown of the head or at the heart center of a dying person to create a positive karmic connection and a possibility of liberation during the intermediate state (bardo) and the next life.

2. Protecting circles (srung ba'i 'khor lo).

Wearing these chakras on one's body protects from obstacles and infectious diseases, increases longevity, and pacifies negative influences. Their specific function depends on the deity associated with each diagram.

3. Diagram for Restoring the Clarity of Eyesight.

The instructions for this diagram, which were discovered as a terma, come from the Tantra of Manjushri Sharp Vajra ('jam dpal rdo rje rnon po'i rgyud). It is said that by looking at it for a short time every morning, the clarity of one's vision will improve.
